Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and teamwork.
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop seasonal menus and special offerings.
- Train new staff on food handling procedures, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health regulations at all times.
- Assist in managing shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and hospitality practices.
- Excellent shift management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
