What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sensory-Motor Coach - Brain Balance Program position at Brain Balance of NJ?
Evidence-based Brain Balance seeks 1-2 energetic, patient, and motivated coaches who enjoy working with individuals struggling socially, behaviorally, academically, and/or developmentally to help them truly make progress overcoming challenges. This is a fun and fast-paced role, helping program participants with an integrated circuit of physical movements, sensory activities, and cognitive exercises. There is flexibility in scheduling for our coaches, but we’re hoping the individual will develop into a solid, longer-term team member. We are hiring for weekdays, from 12:00pm through early evening hours. We would love to speak with you about your availability. Our most significant need is currently weekdays, 3:00pm - 7:00pm.
Job Type: Part-time, with growth opportunities
We are particularly interested in the following skills / attributes:
Experience working with children (especially struggling or special needs children)
Patient, kind, determined, detail oriented and observant
Able to learn new technologies
Comfortable working at a quick pace and multi-tasking
Backgrounds in exercise science, psychology, physical training, physical (PT) or occupational therapy (OT), kinesiology, ABA or other behavioral interventions, paraprofessionals, 1-on-1 aides, social work, and/or kids' sports coaching are a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
