Job Title: Outreach Coordinator
Organization: Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky (BIAK)
Position Overview: The Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky (BIAK) seeks a compassionate Outreach Coordinator to expand BIAK’s impact by building relationships with individuals, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations across Kentucky. This role is essential in promoting BIAK’s mission to provide resources, services, and support to those affected by brain injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform healthcare facility outreach and build relationships with staff to support individuals with traumatic brain injuries (TBI).
· Organize and attend community events, health fairs, and workshops to promote BIAK services.
· Establish and facilitate support groups for individuals with brain injuries and caregivers throughout Kentucky.
· Develop and implement outreach strategies in collaboration with the Executive Director.
· Create educational materials and manage digital outreach campaigns to increase community awareness.
· Recruit and manage volunteers to assist with outreach activities and events.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
· 5 years of experience in outreach, community engagement, or advocacy, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit settings.
· Strong interpersonal skills with experience in public speaking, relationship-building, and event planning.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media, and CRM systems.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience working with individuals with disabilities or chronic health conditions.
· Familiarity with Kentucky’s healthcare system and community resources.
· Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
