Electrical Engineer

Overview:

Join our team to drive the design, development, and implementation of innovative electronic products for the trucking industry. This role involves managing multiple projects, offering expertise in hardware and firmware, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions. Effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders is key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hardware Design: Oversee component selection, schematic design, PCB layout, simulation, and analysis.
• Firmware Development: Develop and document embedded firmware to support new and existing product functionalities.
• PCB Design: Apply knowledge in PCB layout requirements, especially in power electronics, high-speed, and mixed-signal circuitry, using Altium or similar software.
• Product Lifecycle Involvement: Participate in all stages of product development, from concept through production release, ensuring compliance with internal processes and safety standards.
• Testing & Documentation: Develop test criteria, design test fixtures, conduct tests, and record results.
• Technical Support: Prepare technical materials for customers and provide engineering support across production, sales, and operations.
• Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into new product design.
• Cost & Manufacturing Optimization: Focus on design for manufacturing (DFM) and cost-reduction efforts.
• Adherence to Standards: Ensure that all products meet design, safety, and quality standards, with attention to detail in both hardware and firmware.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 3-7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Altium (or similar PCB design software) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with ERP or workflow management systems is preferred.
