Brains Web Intern
We’re looking for a creative and curious digital thinker who asks “why” before making a move and understands how user-focused design can elevate brands, tell stories, and enhance digital experiences.
During our 3-month internship, you’ll bring your web design and UX/UI talents to our team, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced digital environment. You’ll learn from experienced designers, collaborate with a friendly and supportive team, and contribute to real client projects that drive meaningful impact.
You’ll assist in ideating and creating digital assets, including website designs, UI components, and interactive elements. From wireframing to prototyping, you’ll play a vital role in building engaging and user-friendly web experiences that tell stories and support brand strategies.

As a Web Intern At Brains, You Will
- Contribute to Digital Strategy: Help gather research and insights on client brands, business objectives, and target audiences to inform web and UX/UI design work.
- Create Visual Assets: Design UI components and interactive elements for websites and digital campaigns under the guidance of the design team.
- Learn & Apply Design Systems: Work within established web design systems and brand guidelines, exploring opportunities to bring fresh approaches to user interfaces and digital interactions.
- Embrace Craft & Detail: Develop attention to detail and a high standard of execution by receiving mentorship from the design team, focusing on usability, accessibility, and polished design.
- Assist in Presentation Preparation: Help create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate web design concepts visually.
- Balance Multiple Tasks: Manage time effectively to contribute to multiple projects while focusing on quality and deadlines.
- Hands-On Creator: You’re ready to dive in and get your hands dirty. Whether it’s designing wireframes, building prototypes, or creating web visuals.
- Aspiring Web Designer: You’re fascinated by how brands express themselves online. You’re excited to learn how to create consistent design systems and craft engaging user-friendly web experiences.
- Detail-Oriented: You sweat the small stuff—typography, layout, interactions, and usability—because you know that craft makes all the difference in delivering meaningful work.

- A strong portfolio showcasing web design or UX/UI projects, including coursework, personal projects, or freelance work.
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Understanding of basic UX principles, including hierarchy, accessibility, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to take direction, collaborate effectively, and contribute creative ideas.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and contribute to multiple projects.
- You’re currently enrolled in a program related to web design, UI/UX, or graphic design. While we encourage students at all year levels to apply, this internship best suits those in their third year or beyond.
- Familiarity with Webflow / Framer / Instant / other no-code website development apps.
- Basic knowledge of Shopify liquid.
- Basic knowledge of HTML / CSS / Javascript.
- Understanding of user research, wireframing, user flows, and interaction design.
- Familiarity with design systems and component-based design.
- Knowledge of Lottie, Rive, and/or BodyMovin to create micro-interactions or animations for the web.
