Overview
The Braintree Group Legal Assistant provides administrative support to the Senior Corporate Counsel. This role requires handling sensitive and confidential legal information while ensuring efficient administrative operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with legal research, document preparation, and case management
- Manage the filing process for new business entities and obtain foreign registrations across multiple states.
- Track and ensure timely completion of contracts, agreements, and other critical legal documents
- Monitor and track business licenses, permits, and regulatory filings to ensure compliance with deadlines, such as new business licenses, alcohol licenses, and health and safety license, across multiple states
- Assist in the renewal and application process for required permits, coordinating with internal departments and external agencies
- Maintain a centralized database of all licensing and legal documentation
- Coordinate and confirm internal and external legal meetings, ensuring all necessary materials are prepared in advance
- Handle confidential and sensitive legal information with discretion
- Other duties as assigned
