The Braintree Public Schools will employ substitute teachers, to the extent possible, who meet the requirements for teacher appointments and will assign teachers substitute-teaching positions on the basis of their areas of competence. The BHS building substitute and SAT/MCAS tutor will serve as a building substitute for the first half of the year, receiving assignments from the BHS administration on a daily basis. For the second half of the year, the employee will teach a schedule of SAT preparation classes and small-group MCAS tutoring sessions. The building substitute is required to be MA DESE certified.
