Job Summary:

The Project Director is responsible for overseeing and managing large-scale projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, budget, and timelines. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, coordinating with stakeholders, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful project delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Project Leadership & Strategy

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with organizational goals.
• Develop and implement project management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
• Set clear project priorities and ensure resource allocation aligns with strategic needs.

1. Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for executive leadership, clients, and key stakeholders.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and progress effectively to internal and external parties.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project expectations.

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Monitor project performance, track milestones, and adjust plans as needed to meet objectives.
• Oversee project teams, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability.

1. Risk & Issue Management

• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.
• Address project challenges proactively, ensuring minimal impact on deliverables.
• Establish contingency plans to handle unforeseen issues.

1. Financial & Resource Management

• Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
• Optimize resource utilization, balancing workloads across teams.
• Provide regular financial reporting and forecasts to leadership.

1. Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams to drive high performance.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to team members.

1. Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure all projects comply with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
• Maintain high standards of project delivery with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee and ensure compliance with ITAR regulations and U.S. Department of State rules on the export of defense-related products and services.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor s or master s degree in engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 20 years of experience in IT Service delivery across multiple technologies, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing complex, high-value projects successfully.

Technical & Soft Skills:

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PMP, etc.).
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana, Trello).

Preferred Certifications:

• PMP (Project Management Professional)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certifications
