In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting on Wintel Platform and knowledge of server maintenance/configurations (Windows Server OS & VMware)
- Should have good experience in working on remote access, primarily in supporting, connecting and troubleshooting activities.
- Experience in deploying /supporting /maintaining /Managing Windows Active Directory Domain environments at an enterprise level.
- Managing user accounts and groups on Windows 2012\2016\2019 Domain controlled.
- Managing User administration, Groups, Organizational Units, Group Policy objects.
- Monitor and resolve the system alerts on SCOM (System Centre Operation Manager.
- Proficiency with Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012 and their R2 Class Operating systems
- Knowledge on Server Roles DNS, DHCP, File Server, IIS, FTP , DFS, SMB shares and Permissions and Failover Clustering.
- Install firmware and operating systems patches and upgrades manually / using Microsoft tools or Third Party tools like Manage Engine.
- Understanding in RAID concepts and configuration.
- Anticipate, identify, troubleshoot, mitigate, and resolve hardware issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server issues related to performance and other Health checks.
- Troubleshooting / Root cause identification, Disaster recovery & BCP planning and execution.
- The ability to understand customer requirements and present solutions that will meet business objectives.
- Good communication skill is mandatory, as the resource might have to interact with international teams.
- Scripting Knowledge on Power shell
- Knowledge in ITIL processes ( Incident, Change, Request and Problem Management)
VMware JD:
- Expertise experience on Virtualization, ESX and VMWare
- Hands on experience with VMWare and Managing and troubleshooting skills in VMWare ESXi Server Infrastructure.
- vSphere systems administration/support (VMotion, HA, DRS, VDS, Affinity rules, VCenter, storage migrations, P2V migrations).
- Troubleshooting / Root cause identification
- Install / Configure /Upgrade Virtual platform environment
- Configure and Manage multipath solution for SAN storage LUNs
- Good hands on command line of ESX.
- Good hands on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server environment.
- Good understanding of HA and DRS environment.
- Upgrade and Maintain VMWare ESX and GSX servers and virtual sessions
- Complex Health Checking.
- Performance and capacity management on VMWare servers
- Work on major severity and complex server issues
- RCA preparation and meeting SLA for RCA submission.
- Planning and implementing fixes / Patches
- Work with Change & Problem Management Tools
- Create regular reports for Management requirements
- Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes
- Analyze Problems & escalate to appropriate Levels.
- The ability to understand customer requirements and present solutions that will meet business objectives.
Strong Skills in system improvements, OS upgrades, patches, and reconfigurations
Strong communication skill and should have customer facing experience.
