West Valley paper manufacturing company is GROWING and HIRING SLITTER MACHINE OPERATORS AND ASSISTANT OPERATORS! All positions are temp-to-hire and pay weekly. Don't miss out on a great opportunity!

1st Shift 5AM-3 : 30PM Mon-Thurs $18.00 per hour and up! Slitter Assistant Operators $17.00 per hour and up!

2nd Shift 3 : 30PM-2AM Mon-Thurs $18.00 per hour and up! Slitter Assistant Operators $17.00 per hour and up!

Print Machine Operators
Slitter Machine Operators
Shipping Clerks
Maintenance Techs

Drug screen and background check required. Steel toe boots also required.

Slitter Operators support the operation of the entire slitting department by slitting large rolls of paper into small rolls that come in a variety of dimensions according to customer needs. The operator will be responsible for loading / setting up the machine(s) and packing product as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Perform set-up and operate slitting equipment to produce product according to quality and productivity requirements

Ensure equipment runs in accordance with operational standards

Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance as needed

Ensure the correct raw materials are being processed

Language Skills : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and keep updated logs as needed. Ability to communicate with leads, management, and other employees. Ability to write, read and speak English.

Physical Demands : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, twist, pull, talk and hear on a constant basis. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to, with the assistance of equipment, pull, push, and lift up to 60 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
