We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team and help ensure the accuracy of our daily, monthly, and yearly accounting transactions while adhering to company policies and ISO standards.
Position Overview:
As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting department. You’ll be responsible for a variety of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, including posting cash receipts, invoicing, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting month-end closings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a passion for accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Tasks: Post cash receipts, perform daily invoicing, and respond to accounts payable and receivable inquiries.
- Weekly Tasks: Process accounts payable entries, follow up on overdue accounts, and maintain updated vital stats.
- Monthly Tasks: Assist with monthly closings and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Inventory & RGAs: Review inventory transactions and assist in handling RGAs and credit memos.
- Bi-Yearly & Yearly: Support with cycle counts, year-end procedures, and filing for the upcoming year.
- Backup Support: Provide backup assistance to the Accounting Manager as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Minimum one year of college accounting or three years of office accounting experience.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software; strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, work flexible hours, and maintain attention to detail.
- Attributes: Highly organized, self-motivated, able to work independently, and committed to maintaining a professional and courteous approach with internal and external contacts.
