Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Innkeeper/and or innkeeper couple to manage our charming inn and provide exceptional hospitality to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel management and customer service, ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of service.
Duties
- Welcome guests upon arrival and provide personalized check-in services.
- Manage reservations, including booking, cancellations, and modifications.
- Ensure the inn is clean, well-maintained, and welcoming at all times.
- Oversee guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing recommendations for local attractions.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure timely service delivery.
- Implement revenue management strategies to maximize occupancy and profitability.
- Conduct night audits to ensure accurate financial reporting and account reconciliation.
- Train, supervise, and support staff in delivering exceptional guest services.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of revenue management principles is preferred.
- Understanding of hospitality metrics ie. Rev/Par, ADR, OCC etc.
- Build relationships in community.
- Abiltiy to do some basic maintenance tasks.
- Drive Sales.
- Social media understanding.
- Breakfast cooking, baking and food service required.
- Familiarity with human resources practices related to hiring and training staff.
- Ability to perform night audits as required by the operational schedule.
- A passion for hospitality, engaging with people and creating memorable experiences for guests.
