FIRE DOOR INSPECTOR & REPAIR TECHNICIAN
With over 30 years of experience in the passive fire and life safety industry, BRAND SERVICES has established a reputation for delivering the highest quality service and expertise in our field. We specialize in Fire Door Inspections, Relabeling and Repairs, Fire/Smoke Damper Inspections and Repairs, Firestopping, Fireproofing, and other Life Safety Accreditation Services.
Fire Door Inspections and repairs are critical components of the safety of healthcare and commercial facilities. We are seeking skilled technicians.
NO EXPERIENCE WITH DOORS? THAT'S OKAY - DO YOU HAVE CARPENTRY OR MECHANICAL SKILLS? WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT CANDIDATE
Responsibilities Include:
- Knowledge of NFPA 80 code requirements
- Knowledge of wall ratings
- Competent in the inspection process
- Complete understanding of all operational components and compliance standards
- Competent in door hardware
- Competent in door replacements
- Understanding the criteria for door replacements vs. door repairs
- Interaction and direct communication with facility managers
- Detail-oriented for completing survey and repair reporting
Job Skills & Requirements:
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Professional appearance
- Minimum high school graduate or GED equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be over 21 years of age
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. (The screen does not test for Marijuana.)
- Travel is required
- OSHA 10 or passing course within 10 days of employment
Salary / Benefits:
- Pay range based on experience, technical ability, and service: $41,600 - $62,000 per year
- Insurance: Health, Dental, Disability, Accident/Hospital & Life Insurance are offered after 60 days of
- Holidays after six months
- PTO after six months
- 410(k) with match
