Field Manager Reports To : The Field Manager will report to the Operations Manager. Job Overview : The Field Manager is a self-motivated individual who oversees all operations taking place in the field and retains customers through excellent customer service and satisfaction. The Field Manager is an individual with strong leadership skills who is able to work with a diverse workforce. He / She ensures everyone on the field team is effectively performing their responsibilities according to company’s policies and procedures. Responsibilities include : fleet vehicles; field employee safety and job related training; employee performance monitoring; planning; analyzing; scheduling; budgeting; networking and other general administrative duties. Duties and Responsibilities : Manages and ensures consistency of field installation activities, repairs, maintenance and consultations. Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor, or outside contractors and implement them. Troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment. Provide service and customer support during field visits. Audit completed field work and verified conformance to company standards. Formulates a sound business plan to provide cost efficient service for targeted sales growth in accordance with established plan and market share targets. Works with other Managers to meet profitability goals. Conducts meetings on a monthly basis. Communicates current installation policies and procedures, techniques, demonstration of equipment, new products and services. Participate in budget preparation and administration, coordinating purchasing and documentation and monitoring departmental expenditures. Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules. Conduct and arrange for worker training in safety, repair or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use. Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel. Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings and submit to HR personnel. Tracks and records daily / monthly / quarterly installation / service activity to include individual installers' efforts and results. Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance. Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies. Confer with personnel, such as management or customers to coordinate work activities, resolve employee grievances, or identify and review resource needs. Develops and maintains an effective installation workforce through recruiting, hiring, promotions, transfers, discharges, training, motivating and coaching techniques. Keep service trucks clean, organized and stocked with required inventory to perform job duties. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree, Technical degree or certification prefered. 5 to 7 years related industry experience with a high volume, high impact operation. Valid Georgia Driver’s License and in good standing. CDL preferred but not required. Possess reliable transportation. Must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screening. Valid Medical Card. Customer Service driven. Build positive relationships with customers and team members. Able to read, comprehend wire schematics and blueprints. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment with no direct supervision. Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules. Intermediate to advanced computer skills and the ability to operate a computer and use various software programs. Must be conceptually oriented with the ability to think and act strategically. Proven management skills with the ability to train, develop, and motivate. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Successfully handle multiple challenges, prioritize responsibilities, and effectively lead a team. Initiative to resolve problems and seek answers independently and enthusiastically persist until goals are achieved. Desired Competencies : Attention to detail. Proven analytical skills.
