The African and African American Studies Department at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for AAAS 159A, "Identity Politics in the US," a four-credit course in Spring 2024. This is an undergraduate course that examines the politics of identity and group consciousness across race, ethnicity, class gender, religion and other categories. The class meets on Wednesdays @ 2 : 30-5 : 20 pm. Candidates with a PhD or ABD in Political Science or a related field, with significant teaching experience relative to the course, will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is Jan 25, 2024. This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
