What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Associate position at Brandeis University?
The Institute for Behavioral Health within the Heller School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University is in search of a part-time Research Associate I. The Research Associate will coordinate and facilitate data collection and management, conduct analyses, and assist with general research administrative support for multiple grant-funded studies.
The position involves working closely with the Brandeis principal investigator. The Research Associate will support data collection, analysis, and project management. The Research Associate will help to conduct data abstraction, manage data collection processes, ensure data quality; communicate with project partners; perform quantitative data analyses using statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, STATA); draft reports, presentations, and data visualizations; and perform general administrative tasks to advance project interests.
This is a part-time position, fully grant funded position (14 hours a week).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage data collection and analysis. Oversee data collection including data management and data abstraction, conduct quantitative analyses using statistical software (e.g., SPSS).
- Prepare reports and other project materials to disseminate results.
- Perform administrative tasks including meeting documentations, scheduling meetings, following up on action items, and tracking deadlines.
- Coordinate with external partners and other team members to track data progress.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree plus 1-3 years related work experience
- Conduct quantitative qualitative data analyses
- Maintain database tracking data submissions and corrections; create and use data management tools
- Assist with meeting scheduling, documentations, follow-up on deliverables
- Prepare or assist with reports and other project materials
