What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temp Research Technician position at Brandeis University?
The Temp Research Tech will work on understanding how sympathetic neurons regulate their own activity to maintain normal bodily functions. The person will use a rat model called SHR that has increased sympathetic neuron activity and hypertension in the adult to ask how synaptic proteins and neuronal activity change during development. The technician will prepare tissue sections from the sympathetic ganglia and the heart and use immunohistochemistry to visualize and quantify synaptic sites and activity-associated proteins.
