Dietary Manager Assistant Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Dietary Manager Assistant to oversee daily meal service in our healthcare community. This full-time position plays a key role in ensuring a smooth dining experience for residents by managing service operations, supporting staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and be present in dining rooms during all meal service times.
- Ensure compliance with dietary requirements, including texture modifications, allergies, and special diets.
- Step in to fill vacant positions as needed to support seamless operations.
- Train and mentor dining staff to uphold service excellence.
- Conduct pantry and food audits to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Assign and monitor cleaning duties to ensure a sanitary dining environment.
- Perform other operational tasks as necessary to support the department.
Schedule:
- Full-time (11:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Weekends and holidays required
Qualifications:
- ServSafe Certification required.
- Formal training in culinary arts preferred.
- Previous healthcare dining experience required.
- Strong knowledge of texture diets, allergies, and special dietary needs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds.
