Certified Dietary Manager Job Description & Qualifications
Brandermill Woods Healthcare Community is currently seeking an experienced Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead our food service operations. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who is committed to providing high-quality, nutritious meals while ensuring compliance with all dietary standards and food safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring meals meet nutritional and dietary requirements.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and dietary aides.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and budget control for food, supplies, and labor.
- Maintain high sanitation and safety standards in food service areas.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to accommodate residents' dietary needs.
- Conduct staff training, performance evaluations, and schedule management.
- Participate in care plan meetings, quality assurance initiatives, and compliance reviews.
Requirements:
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required.
- Experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of dietary regulations, food safety, and sanitation standards.
