Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Senior Developer to join our development team at Brandlive. As a Senior Developer, you will work closely with a small team of skilled engineers to design, develop, and enhance the Brandlive Platform. You will play a key role in building scalable solutions, ensuring our platform’s performance and reliability, and contributing to its continuous improvement. Proficiency in Node, React, and TypeScript is essential, and experience with PostgreSQL.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain the Brandlive Platform, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to deliver robust, well-architected solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Node, React, and TypeScript.
- Implement new features and enhance existing ones based on business requirements and customer feedback.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, optimizing performance and addressing technical challenges as needed.
- Work closely with the Lead Principal Engineer and team members to establish clear technical direction and priorities.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and development practices to continuously improve the platform.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience in large scale, enterprise level, performance oriented, software development.
- Proven experience as a software developer, with a focus on fullstack development.
- Strong proficiency in Node, React, and TypeScript.
- Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern web application development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a small, fast-paced team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
- Experience mentoring and sharing your expertise with earlier career developers.
- Comfortable writing automated tests for validation and software correctness, using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with OWASP and other secure coding best practices.
- Capable of diagnosing and solving problems using observability tools such as DataDog, NewRelic, Splunk, or similar.
