What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chiropractic Office Administrative Assistant position at Brandon Chiropractic?
Administrative Assistant: is much more than just answering the phone. The primary mission for this position is patient care.
You are the front-line in-patient care, greeting patients when they arrive and checking them in, preparing them for their adjustment and treatment. Any and all patient questions begin with you, for you to handle or delegate to the correct department.
At this position you will:
- Answer the phone appropriately and handle any new patient’s questions as they call, obtaining patient’s insurance information to have their benefits checked by our offices full time, on call office manager.
- Guide new patients through their first visit appointment, explain paperwork.
- Communicate with the doctor and the chiropractic assistant, as this is important to maintain the patient flow of the office.
- Scheduling patient’s next appointment. Maintaining their treatment plan allows for maximum improvement and scheduling the patient accordingly keeps them on track.
- Scheduling for our in-office massage therapist.
- COLLECTIONS at time of services.
Other priority tasks for this position include:
- Entering patient visits into EHR system (eTHOMAS)
- You will learn and use insurance terms, as well as explaining patient’s benefits to them. - Keeping the front desk area clean, and free of clutter, well stocked of inventory and organized.

Be able to stand/sit and be moving constantly through the day.
Basic computer knowledge - we will train on our specific software (eTHOMAS). Working hours per week amount to: 32.75 (Summer 29.5)

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 33 per week
