Summary
We are seeking a skilled Control Panel Technician to join our team at Brandon and Clark, Inc. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our control systems, contributing to our commitment to quality service in the electro-mechanical sector.
Key Responsibilities :
- Installation and Commissioning :
Install and commission protective relays, motor controls, and industrial control systems to ensure operational reliability and compliance with industry standards.
Configure and test new protective systems for industrial motors, drives, and other critical equipment.
Conduct diagnostic testing and calibration of protective relay systems (both electromechanical and digital) to maintain system integrity in industrial facilities.
Ensure protection schemes meet industrial power system requirements, including load management and fault response.
Diagnose faults and malfunctions in control systems, relay circuits, and associated industrial equipment.
Repair or replace components to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations in manufacturing and processing facilities.
Perform preventive maintenance on protective relay systems and controls to reduce system failures and optimize performance.
Analyze and recommend improvements to industrial control systems to enhance reliability and operational efficiency.
Maintain detailed records of system configurations, test results, maintenance activities, and incident reports.
Adhere to all industrial safety standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications :Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronics, or a related field. A bachelor’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with industrial protective relays, motor controls, and automation systems.
Experience with industrial motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and large-scale industrial power systems is preferred
Relevant certifications (e.g., NETA, NICET) or manufacturer-specific training on relay systems and control panels are advantageous.
Proficiency in using relay test equipment (e.g., Omicron, Doble) and industrial automation tools.
Strong understanding of industrial power systems, control circuits, and automation technologies.
Ability to interpret industrial electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical manuals.
