Overview

We are seeking an attorney with a minimum of five years of litigation experience, including at least three years focused on personal injury law, to join our growing New York practice and represent individuals in personal injury-related claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a caseload of personal injury cases from initiation through resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance companies to negotiate settlements and facilitate the litigation process.
• Conduct depositions, attend court hearings, and represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
• Lead settlement negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes for clients, leveraging strong negotiation skills and understanding of New York personal injury law.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to devise case strategies for optimal outcomes.
• Stay updated on changes in personal injury laws and legal trends, particularly in New York, to provide knowledgeable counsel to clients.
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in New York, in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience handling plaintiffs' personal injury matters, with a focus on New York law.
• Proficient litigation skills, including experience with drafting legal documents, conducting depositions, and courtroom appearances.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  
  

Compensation Range

$150,000—$200,000 USD

Benefits: Full Time Employees and Part Time Employees over 30 hours per week
