Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Attorney to join our team, focusing on personal injury cases involving public entities. This role requires a deep understanding of Title 59 and New York public entity claims, as well as experience in managing complex litigation from inception to resolution.
Key Responsibilities :
- Legal Documentation : Draft, review, and file essential legal documents, including Title 59 applications and New York public entity claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Management : Manage a team of legal staff and oversee responsibilities related to cuts & torts.
- Collaboration : Work closely with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys to coordinate case activities, ensuring timely and efficient case management.
- Compliance : Monitor and ensure all case activities adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and firm policies. Maintain and manage deadlines for filings, court appearances, and other critical case-related actions.
- Conflict of Interest : Work closely with legal staff to identify cases with areas of conflict of interest.
- Deadline Management : Develop and maintain a detailed calendar of deadlines, proactively communicating upcoming actions to the team and ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
- Reporting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, providing regular updates and reports on case status to firm management and clients.
Qualifications :
Compensation Range : 150,000-$175,000 USD
Benefits : Full Time Employees and Part Time Employees over 30 hours per week
