LANDSCAPE FOREMAN/ LABORERS

Brandon Landscapers , Inc. is located in the North Hills, Ross Township, just ten minutes north of downtown Pittsburgh. We are currently trying to fill several positions that have become available from full-time to part-time.

FOREMAN POSITIONS - MANAGEMENT

Must possess skills to direct and lead others, strong work ethics, and excellent communication skills, and the desire to create beautiful landscapes and an unmistaken pride for seeing those landscapes grow and flourish into spectacular sites.

• All employees are given a policy manual at the time of hire, each employee is expected, without question, to follow the company's rules and regulations.
• This position can be physically demanding, and each employee is expected to lift or move heavy objects. The job also requires a strong healthy employee as it can be very physical due to manual labor. (Shoveling holes, edging, moving earth. Tools used will increase the physical activity and strength.)
• This position requires a reliable person, someone who will always arrive on time and ready to start the workday.
• Organized person with the ability to multi-task, you will be expected to direct others to gather needed equipment and tools, plant material, hard-goods and paperwork.
• Responsible for required work forms for daily jobs. (Work orders, timesheets and receipts, which are turned in to the office at the end of each work day).
• Should understand and be able to read and implement landscape design plans, teach others to use and comprehend those plot plans as well.
• Familiar with large machines, such as; skid steer loaders, backhoe, walk behind mowers, stand on mowers and smaller equipment for example; chain saw, hedgers, wet saw, and other related rental equipment, as well as teach others to use this equipment.
• Time management
• Customer relations, be able to answer questions intelligently and reiterate information from Salesman (Landscape Designer) to the property owner.
• Complete knowledge of all materials used, from plant materials to hard goods (e.g. mulch, stone, pavers, wall building supplies, water feature materials, etc.)
• We are a drug and alcohol free business, employees are expected to pass the drug screening process at the interview and expect random drug testing throughout their employment.
• Must have a VALID PA DRIVERS LICENSE clear of violation points. CDL Licensed drivers are a plus.
• High School diploma or higher
• Proof of Citizenship to the United States (birth certificate, photo ID)

LABORERS/ CREW MEMBERS

Laborers are an important link in this business and no experience necessary. If you're interested in advancement, learning a new field of work, already have the experience or just love working outdoors, this is a great place to start. You will need to be able to follow directions from a manager, who has the knowledge to teach you what you'll need to know, to be successful in this job or even to advance your position.

• PA Driver's license or transportation to and from our office. We are not on a direct bus line.
