Scaffold General Foreman

Responsibilities:

• Safety: The foreman must manage and provide leadership that result in a safe work environment. He is responsible and accountable for the safety of the crews under his direction and must understand and accept the importance of the role. The foreman provides direction, leadership, supports and holds those subordinates to him responsible and accountable for meeting their responsibilities, goals, and provides the necessary information and leadership in that regard.
• Leadership and Supervision: The foreman coordinates crews, is accountable for the efficient organization of crews and must understand and consistently apply Basic Industry’s policies and procedures. The foreman is required to be involved and supportive of any day to day disciplinary decisions and those additional discipline actions deemed appropriate by Senior Management, Project, Management, Safety or Human Resources.
• Trainor, Mentor and Coach: The foreman is the primary trainer of his crew. He is responsible for providing safety and craft training to those assigned or making sure that the training takes place. The foreman should mentor and coach his crew by evaluating work performance and providing constructive feedback as necessary.
• Planning and Scheduling: The foreman is accountable for following project plans and schedules and ensuring that crews under his direction perform daily and weekly activities to meet production goals.
• Employee Relations: The foreman is accountable for the adherence to HR policies and procedures and must hold the crew under his direction accountable to the same. The foreman supports and provides information and leadership to the individuals assigned to him as it relates to their responsibilities.
• Quality Control: The foreman is accountable for ensuring the work done meets or exceeds customer’s standards, and for implementing work processes to improve productivity and product quality.
• Administration: The foreman is accountable for the preparation and administration of applicable reports and documents.

Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of experience as a multi-craftsman
• Ability to run a multi-craft team
• Strong communications skills-fluent in English
• Excellent customer relations skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Must pass all hiring requirements and maintain physical agility to perform arduous work to

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
