Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate the working condition of heavy duty equipment, diagnose issues, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and perform repairs efficiently and effectively.
- Utilize secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Operate related instruments, hand tools, power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems accurately.
- Document all machine information, actions taken, and time spent on work orders accurately and completely.
- Continuously assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
- Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
- Locate and order parts from parts personnel using parts catalogues.
- Road test equipment and inspect attachment operation as required.
Requirements
- Able to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
- Meet physical demands (climbing, overhead lifting/postures, prolonged standing, sensory processing, fine motor control).
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment.
- Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
- Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
