Brandt is seeking a Service Technician for the Southern Alberta region, reporting to our Calgary branch. This role involves repair and maintenance of construction and forestry based equipment and attachments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate working condition of heavy duty equipment, diagnose issues, assemble/disassemble, order parts for repairs.
- Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Utilize related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
- Accurately document machine information, actions taken, and time taken on work orders.
- Continually assess service task hazards and ensure safe, standard-compliant work.
- Document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis using computer applications and information systems.
- Locate parts in catalogues, order from parts personnel, and road test equipment as required.
Required Skills
- Communicate effectively with customers, service team, and branch personnel.
- Meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, sensory processing, and fine motor control.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Experience
- Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment (preferred).
- Certified Journeyperson in Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade (preferred).
- Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
