Are you eager to assist a client through their Mental Health and Substance Use recovery process in an outpatient therapeutic setting? We are seeking a supervisor to oversee our First Stop DUI program statewide. This person will ensure that supportive person-centered counseling services are being provided to individuals in a compassionate way.

What You'll Do At BCCS:
- Responsible for reviewing and approving intakes/assessment and ensuring that clients are placed in the correct level of care.
- Conduct and promote staff orientation, training, and development. Direct, supervise, and evaluate staff. Ensure that counselors follow agency policies and procedures.
- Meet with assigned clients to formulate and execute clinical goals.
- Assign clients to counselors / case managers.
- Provide regular and specially requested reports.
- Provide outreach and educational activities in the community.
- Resolve counselor / client conflicts. Promote staff morale and conduct supervision with staff on a weekly basis.
- Participates in weekly treatment team meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Drug and alcohol treatment clinical practices.
- Knowledge of population being served and available resources.
- Ability to evaluate and screen clients for appropriate treatment and document progress of clients.
- May require crisis intervention to emergency situations.
- Skill in establishing rapport with clients.
- Knowledge of Supervision practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a focused team.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Qualifications for the position are:
- REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field
- REQUIRED: 3 years' experience in the substance abuse field and/or mental health
- REQUIRED: 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Within 1 year, must have obtained certification as CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) if not already certified.
- PREFERRED: CADC, CCDP, LPC, or LCSW,
- PREFERRED: 5 years' experience in the substance abuse field and/or mental health
Salary:
- From $27/hour.
- Commensurate with experience, education, and certification
Schedule:
- 4 days shifts of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- 1 evening shift between Monday - Thursday of 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
