Brandywine Counseling is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Behavioral Health Receptionist for our Georgetown location!

What You'll Do as a Temporary Behavioral Health Receptionist with us:
- General clerical duties
- Check and prepare reminder calls or correspondences for clients.
- Assures telephone is answered in a timely manner and all messages are relayed to the appropriate department or person.
- Files all and retrieves all documentation needed to stay in compliance with DE state and federal regulations.
- Obtaining client demographic and verifying insurance information at each visit
- Obtaining necessary client information to meet current Federal guidelines and insurance use guidelines for electronic medical records.
- Scan pertinent client information into EMR including client authorizations, recent labs delivered etc.
- Collecting co-payments, including cash, checks, and credit cards.
- Entering visit charges into EMR per doctor’s coding on scheduler
- Scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Insuring patient has necessary paperwork and insurance documentation for intake.
- Obtaining client authorization for medical records release, HIPAA, Reminder calls, etc.
- Identifying and resolving minor client billing complaints
- Maintaining cleanliness of waiting area and assure site brochures and other marketing material is visible to clients.
- Assure counselors are alerted when client arrives for appointment.
- Ensure reminder call consent is completed and uploaded to EMR system.
- Maintaining payment log to track all accounts receivable and payments made by clients
- Opening and closing procedures
- End of the month reports (gas logs, mileage logs, reconciliation of payment logs)
- Supply orders
- Bank deposits once a month for cash collection
- Act as liaison between medical department and clinical department as it relates to scheduled appointments
- Complies with all BCCS policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Behavioral Health Office Manager
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have the ability to work well either alone or as part of a team.
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with people of a variety of backgrounds.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management and organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- REQUIRED: High School Graduate or Equivalent
- PREFERRED: Associate degree
- REQUIRED: 1 year in office environment, 3 years related experience, some knowledge of treatment for substance use disorder/Mental Health Disorder.
- PREFERRED: Bilingual with fluency in reading/writing in Spanish
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- 5:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Pay:
- Starting at $17/hour.
- Commensurate with experience and education!
