Van Driver / life enrichment assistant wanted! Dual position What will you get to do as a Driver at our community? Drive residents to and from appointments. Drive residents for events outside of the community and attend the event to help ensure the safety of the residents. Continually check the vehicle to ensure it remains clean and safe for our residents. General Responsibilities regarding the life enrichment assistant : Assist in conducting a therapeutic activities program that reflects the interest, values and beliefs of the residents and provide life-enriching opportunities for residents and the community in accordance with established policies, procedures and as directed by supervisor. Standard Requirements 1. Supports the Mission, Values and Vision of Brandywine Living and the facility. 2. Is knowledgeable of resident rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well-being of all residents in a safe, secure environment. 3. Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures and programs for : a. Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire / safety / disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and / or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs. b. Confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee and operations data. c. Quality Assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements. d. Compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from sexual harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior. 4. Supports and participates in common teamwork : a. Cooperates and works together with all co-workers; plan and complete job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment. b. Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations. c. Follows up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers or residents regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns. d. Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests. e. Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned. Essential Duties ? Assists Escapades Producer in implementing, planning and scheduling activities and innovative programs. ? Facilitates socialization among the residents. ? Invites / encourages residents to participate in planned activities. ? Conducts / leads activities. ? Trains, supports and instructs other staff members in conducting activities. ? Helps implement decoration of the community for special events, seasons and holidays. ? Chaperones activities outside the community. ? Assists with transportation for activity outings and regularly scheduled group trips. Page | 2 ? Accepts on-call responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor. ? Carries out other duties as assigned by your supervisor to ensure smooth operation of the program and to meet residents needs. ? Assists with transport of residents to and from activities as needed. Other Duties Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.
