This role is essential for maintaining and enhancing our quality control processes, ensuring our transmission systems meet all performance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transmission Systems: Diagnose, repair, and maintain various transmission systems, including manual and automatic types. Troubleshoot and repair transmission gears, clutch assemblies, and other related components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Test Stand Development: Design, build, and maintain test stands for testing and evaluating transmission components and assemblies. Conduct performance tests and analyze results to identify potential issues.
- Automotive Repair: Perform general and specialized automotive repairs with an emphasis on transmissions, using both power and hand tools.
- Preventive Maintenance: Carry out preventive maintenance on transmission systems and test stands to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs, documenting all tests and diagnostics for reference and compliance purposes.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on automotive repair experience, with specific expertise in transmission gears and test stand development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with a wide range of hand tools and power tools; strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, particularly with transmission systems.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of automotive systems, including engines and transmissions
