The Role
The career level process engineer can work autonomously with occasional guidance from supervision. They are skilled in equipment/tooling alternatives, sequence, and flow of operations for the effective utilization of personnel, material, machines, and facilities necessary to produce quality parts. Work is performed in a centralized manufacturing engineering activity or assembly/plant activity where creativity and initiative are exercised as well as independent judgement. Focus is on manufacturing and development of manufacturing processes.
What You'll Do
Responsible for Vehicle Assembly with supporting activities that may include:
- Application of problem-solving methodologies for internal and external issue resolution
- Execution of manufacturing engineering, and product engineering advance technology work projects
- Development of advance technology work projects including budgets, deliverables, and project timing
- Firsthand process development
- New process development and work with new materials
- Testing of new materials and development of new component suppliers
- Development of new tooling and gaging methods
- Providing manufacturing support to develop next generation vehicles
- Providing manufacturing support to Tier 1 suppliers and Tier 2 suppliers
- Manufacturing support of technically approved supplier list (TASL) projects and development for new Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers
Responsible for supporting activities that may include:
- Statement of Requirements (SORs) and project management for tools, stations, or specific technologies.
- Typically, part of a larger effort or project
- Manufacturing process definition
- Sequence of operations
- Human factors consideration
- Efficient material flow
- Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants to produce high-quality parts and vehicles
- Providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources
Additional Job Description
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree (engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
- 1-5 years of experience in process engineering
- Knowledge of NX
- Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies- RedX, DFSS, etc.
- Knowledge of electrical testing methods and electrical insulation

Salary : $35 - $45
