1st and 2nd shift
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for assisting with all inbound and outbound freight, supplies and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Verify that shipment received quantities match those that are on the packing list or other shipping documents and receive into the system
- Ship machinery out adhering to all deadlines
- Work with Purchasing and Manufacturing on the timely return of unused materials
- Ensure carrier requirements are met allowing for timely delivery of customer orders
- Assure the most efficient and cost-effective means of shipments are utilized to minimize freight expenses
- Prepare all shipping documents for outgoing shipments (commercial invoices, bills of lading, pack slips, certificate of origin, etc.)
- Ensure accurate weights for shipments are identified to prevent possible delays of customer orders
- Properly process goods and materials received according to company requirements
- Route / assign goods and materials to proper departments / locations
- Assist with receiving and processing spare part and service purchase orders via fax, email or phone
- Assists with supplier quality ensuring incoming parts are not damaged or out of spec
- Personally demonstrate a commitment to safe work
- Demonstrate and promote a commitment to company’s Core Beliefs
- Ensure that company products and services continue to be the benchmark within the industry
- Understand and effectively employs company’s Quality Management System (QMS)
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, as well as Google Applications (such as Gmail, Calendar and Docs)
- Ability to manage multiple activities, meet deadlines and determine priorities
- Ability to perform proper packing and loading of trucks
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, models positive relations and teamwork within the organization
- Basic knowledge of computerized inventory systems
- Ability to work onsite within the company offices as required
- Ability to meet deadlines without endangering the safety of himself/herself or others, or the integrity of the equipment
- Ability to effectively communicate, both written and orally, with the team as well as other departments such as manufacturing, engineering, project management, purchasing, etc.
- Ability to operate a fork truck in a safe manner
Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in an automotive, capital equipment or machine tool environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Fork Truck Operator Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
