What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Negotiator position at Branex Group?
Responsibilities
- Negotiate pre-suit breach of warranty matters, overseeing a docket spanning fifteen states and California, while managing two teams to ensure effective case resolution.
- Draft assessments based on interpretation of jurisdictional, factual, & legal analysis.
- Collaborate with outside counsel on litigation settlements.
- Develop or update team procedures in response to regulatory changes.
- Have independent authority to approve five figure settlements, ensuring strategic alignment and operational efficiency.
- Created and implemented a procedure to develop strategies for team performance improvement.
- Cultivate relationships with external agencies and internal departments to ensure seamless information exchange and Compliance
- Review, investigate and determine the strength of pre-litigation files for breach of warranty claims pursuant to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, individual State lemon laws and any other relevant statutes
- Assign files to appropriate junior negotiators and negotiators based on file complexity, and support as needed when escalations arise
- Represent the company during Mandatory Settlement Conferences prior to trial as second chair.
- Negotiate with plaintiff counsel based on relevant litigation strategy in an attempt to resolve the matter before trial.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Law, or similar background
- Strong communication skills
- Microsoft Suite experience
- Prior experience in legal research and negotiation
