What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipefitter position at BranexGroup?
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The Pipefitter will be responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical piping systems.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of piping systems
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble, and install pipes
- Maintain and repair existing pipe systems
- Test piping systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- Collaborate with other construction professionals such as welders and pipefitters to complete projects
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, welding equipment (FCAW and Stick welding), and soldering equipment as needed
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics
- Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and regulations related to pipefitting
- Experience with FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and Stick welding techniques
- Ability to use calipers for precise measurements
Proficient in utilizing various hand tools for pipefitting tasks
