Duties
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations, including milling and turning.
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to create precise machining instructions.
- Set up CNC machines, including tool selection, calibration, and adjustments for optimal performance.
- Conduct regular maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers and bore gauges to verify the accuracy of machined parts.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements in the manufacturing process.
- Maintain detailed documentation of programming changes, machine settings, and production runs.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery.
- Proficiency in Fanuc controls and CAD software for effective programming.
- Solid understanding of geometry principles as they relate to machining processes.
- Experience with CATIA or similar design software is preferred.
- Familiarity with using bore gauges, lathes, and other machining tools.
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances.
- Ability to fabricate components based on specifications while ensuring quality standards are met.
