Job description
We’re looking for more friendly, extroverted and professional staff to join our team! As a Lighthouse Host you will interact and engage with visitors on various levels, including, but not limited to, visitor assistance, monitoring, and controlling access to the exhibit.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting the front of house operation of the exhibit.
- Greeting visitors upon arrival.
- Provide information about regulations, facilities, and the exhibit to visitors.
- Firmly yet politely advise visitors of exhibit policies.
- Report emergencies and respond to calls for emergency assistance.
- Maintaining a level of cleanliness within the venue.
- Reporting and counting inventory throughout the venue.
- Other duties as assigned by Venue Management
Requirements:
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written is an asset
- Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include daytime or evening shifts.
- Superior customer service, strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable using various online tools to communicate with other staff and management. (ie.homebase, gmail, etc.)
- Love and knowledge of art and animation is a definite plus.
- Ability to work 9-9.5-hour shifts when needed.
