What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skilled Tradesman for Wood Structure Construction position at Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC?
At Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for building and constructing rough wooden structures according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- We are looking for an individual who can design and build various wooden structures including vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking, Johnny clamp forms, scaffolds, tunnel, bridge, or sewer supports, billboard signs, and temporary frame shelters
- Must adhere to safety protocol and maintain a drug-free work environment at all times
- You will be required to provide your own tools, which should include but not limited to, hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, and tool pouch
- As a Carpenter with Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC, you may be required to work in various weather conditions
The ideal candidate should have 1 year of experience in commercial construction as a Carpenter, preferably with experience in vertical and horizontal concrete forms and gang forms
Requirements:
- Must be able to work at elevated heights and frequently lift materials weighing up to 50lbs
- Able to work in outside weather conditions
