The Brass Band of Battle Creek is a legacy nonprofit arts organization and one of the world’s premier brass ensembles. Boasting many of the finest professional brass and percussion performers from across the United States and Great Britain, the band currently provides two annual performances in Battle Creek as well as a variety of high quality, fun, and impactful education programs in the communities it serves.
The Administrative Assistant works closely with the Executive Director and will be responsible for a wide range of tasks in support of the administrative team. This position is a permanent hourly position ($20 per hour), beginning as part-time (30 hours per week) with potential full-time status for an ideal candidate.

· Proficiency in Google Business Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel. If not proficient, willingness to learn new software including PatronManager and FileMaker Pro.
Responsibilities:
· Answering telephone
· Event ticket sales via online, telephone, mail, and in-person at event box office
· Sorting, handling, and distributing mail
· Office correspondence as directed by Executive Director
· Accounts receivable and payable
· Record minutes of quarterly Board of Directors meetings
· Preparation of materials for professional and education programs
The Brass Band of Battle Creek’s office is located in the Riverwalk Center in downtown Battle Creek. Interviews will begin during the week of October 14, and applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
