POSITION SUMMARY:
The Plant Controller works closely with the local Plant Operations Team and Operations Controller to provide accounting, monitoring, and analytical support in the achievement of plant financial objectives. Key responsibilities include the development and maintenance of planning and budgeting systems, analysis and interpretation of trends, and preparation of findings and specific recommendations to senior management.
This role requires strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset as they will work collaboratively across various departments to build relationships and assist in forward thinking.
This is an onsite role supporting our Lancaster, TX Plant.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages and supports the monthly forecast, annual operating planning, and plant performance to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Assists in monthly end close activities and partners with plant management to explain results, trends, and identify actions.
- Leads monthly analysis and review of plant site operations - headcount, overtime, production output, productivity, yields, etc.
- Collaborates cross-functionally and assists with the build of yearly standard cost calculations and files.
- Analyzes core accounts and key performance indicators. Be a thought leader and provide insights for improved cost and operational efficiencies.
- Evaluate and recommend changes in the company’s cost structure, as appropriate.
- Performs deep dives and analyses on manufacturing variances and PPV.
- Drives make vs buy financial analyses.
- Develops financial reporting and analytical tools to assist in daily operations.
- Leads monthly tracking and monitoring of capital spending against budget.
- Compiles and analyzes financial reports that indicate trends, variances inventories.
- Assists in monitoring, performing, and testing of Internal Controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 4 years of costing and manufacturing experience
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- CMA, CPA, or MBA
- Previous plant controller experience
- Excellent problem solving, issue identification, and analytical skills
- Able to work independently
- Critical thinker who enjoys working as part of collaborative team
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects of differing scale and duration
- Desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies
