JOB OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible foraccurately receiving and verifying inventory itemsby purchase order and putting away to adesignatedwarehouse location.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Unloads andchecksall incoming shipmentsand reports any damages to the carrier
* OpensPackaging slips to verify thevendorpurchase order and items listed
* Creates PO Receiving list and checks items to verify labeling, packaging and correct quantity
* Notifies QA for incoming inspection where required(non-conformity or first article)
* Assigns items to warehouse locations and prints move labels for each product
* Places all received items with labels on cart for designated location put-away
* Unloads and places pallet loads as a Licensed forklift operator
* Maintains all packing list/receiving edit paperwork for history records
* Other tasks as assigned by Manager
WORK EXPERIENCE:
* Previous experience in a relevant position desired
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
* High School degree or equivalent required
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS &COMPETENCIES:
* Ability to read, understand and perform standard procedures and work instructions
* Basicmechanical skills desired
* Basic math and logic skillsrequired
* Basic computer skills and software use(email, document prep, and spreadsheets) desired
TRAVEL / WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Travel - typically not required
* Position typically works on site where environmental conditions are stable. May be exposed to higher levels of noise typical in a warehouse environment.
* The position requires an above average amount of physical activity. While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to stand and walk for extended periods oftime; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, stretch, climb stairsand may be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
