We currently have an opening for a Line Cook!
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare, season, and cook a variety of dishes including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items.
- Estimate food requirements and procure necessary items from the store room following established procedures.
- Adjust temperature controls of cooking equipment as needed.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes.
- Bake, roast, broil, and steam food items.
- Add seasonings during food preparation.
- Monitor cooking progress by tasting, smelling, and utilizing other methods.
- Carve meats, portion food on plates, add sauces, gravies, and garnishes as per orders.
- Prepare vegetables and fruits by washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding.
- Butcher and ready all meat products for cooking.
- Follow food handling and sanitation guidelines such as ServSafe protocols.
- Be knowledgeable of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and handle food allergies and dietary preferences.
- Minimize food waste and uphold food quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
- Label, date, and rotate food items for storage and usage.
- Prepare orders accurately based on server tickets, handling special guest requests positively.
- Foster a positive work environment across departments.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Familiarity with handling food allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Adaptability to changing situations.
- Reliable and punctual.
