What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Brat Haus?
BRAT HAUS in Scottsdale, AZ is ready to immediately hire a part time line cook (28-36 hours) to join our team! Great for an experienced cook looking for some extra $$!! $20 per hour to start for the right person. Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, Friday and Saturday nights, Sunday mid shift. We are a locally owned and operated restaurant that has served Scottsdale for the past 12 years. Our menu is simple but our food is from the heart and made from scratch. We hand cut our fries, we make our pretzels from scratch every day, we use Noble buns, and we are really proud of our quality sausage. You will be working in a casual but fast paced environment. You'll need to know how to move in 5th gear regardless of how busy it is. We seat 200 guests and when we fill up, so does your order screen. If you know how to multi-task and put your head down and work when it gets busy, then you are the person for the job! Minimum 2 years experience in a full service kitchen required. We are located at 3622 N Scottsdale Rd. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, RELIABLE, motivated, and hard-working. Serious inquiries only. No smokers please. We close at 10 PM Friday and Saturday and 9 on Sunday. NO LATE NIGHTS!!
Responsibilities
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Follow all Brat Haus recipe standards
Food preparation when necessary including doing dishes if and when necessary
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory
- Treat all team members with respect
Qualifications
- RELIABLE AND PUNCTUAL
- Minimum 2 years of line cook experience in a casual full-service restaurant required
- Able to meet all scheduling commitments, reliable transportation (car)
- Must be a team player.
- Work clean and organized
- Able to anticipate the needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to take direction
- Respectful
