Bratslavsky Consulting Engineers, Inc., an engineering & construction management company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Cost Estimator with strong drafting skills to join our Anchorage office team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of accurately estimating construction costs while leveraging advanced drafting techniques to produce precise project drawings. This role requires a professional who can collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, and engineers to deliver cost-effective and innovative construction solutions.
Place of Performance: Anchorage, Alaska
Salary: $60,000.00-year, DOE

Schedule: 8-hour day shift Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
- Utilize estimation software, tools, and market research to streamline the estimation process.
Drafting and Design Support:
- Create, review, and revise project drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Ensure that all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to optimize design layouts for cost efficiency.
Project Coordination:
- Participate in project meetings to review project goals and requirements.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and ensure scope alignment.
- Assist in value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and present estimation reports to stakeholders and management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in construction cost estimation with demonstrated drafting proficiency.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., RS Means, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating).
- Advanced skills in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and codes.
Soft Skills:
