Bratslavsky Consulting Engineers, Inc., an engineering & construction management company, is currently looking to hire one full-time Construction Manager (CM) for a project that will rehabilitate & expand a wastewater treatment plant. The primary role of this position is to inspect the work of the construction contractor for progress, workmanship and conformance with the contract documents and existing codes. The successful candidate will need to have experience on projects that include, but not limited to, rehabilitation of water/ wastewater systems, civil site work, concrete tanks, building controls systems, stormwater management, slope stabilization, water/wastewater/electric utility conveyance, etc.
Construction Manager responsibilities include:
- Provide on-site administration of the construction contract.
- Review and prepare responses to construction submittals and RFIs.
- Prepare, review, and analyze construction modification documents.
- Inspect the work of the construction contractor, perform on-site inspections of the construction work, materials, means and methods to ensure compliance with the contract documents.
Period of Performance: Tentative dates are 05/15/2025 - 04/30/2027
Construction Manager Salary: $55-$75 per hour DOE

The successful Construction Manager candidate will need to meet the following qualifications/requirements:
- Must have achieved a minimum four-year bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Technology, Construction Management, or other related field from an ABET accredited engineering college or university.
- Knowledgeable in construction practices including applicable building codes, applicable safety regulations.
- Ability to walk or climb on a daily basis to observe contract performance.
- Completed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour construction safety training.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand the Construction Contract, Plans and Specifications.
- Completed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour construction safety training.
- Construction cost estimating and technical writing experience.
- Ability to open and manipulate Oracle Primavera Project and Microsoft (MS) Project, Word and Excel.
- Ability to understand and document negotiations between the Government and the Construction Contractor for the technical scope requirements, prime and subcontractor labor, equipment, material, overhead and profit.
- Ability to read and interpret the construction schedule to evaluate and document progress.
The successful Construction Manager candidate shall have previous experience and/or knowledge of:
- Repurposing and construction of existing spaces within Historic Buildings.
- Abatement and lawful disposal of hazardous materials including bulk asbestos.
- Rehabilitation of water/ wastewater systems.
- Timely communication and reporting skills from a remote location with the A/E Firm and client to achieve Quality Assurance.
- Knowledge and experience of National Park Service workflows for construction activities, including applicable CMR Duties.
- Experience setting up and administering a Project Management Software Program.
- Coordinating and overall management of Tribal Monitors on site.
