Brattleboro Area Middle School is seeking a talented and motivated World Language teacher to join our staff to begin the second semester of the 24-25 school year. This will be a partial year contract starting in January 2025 and ending at conclusion of the 24-25 school year.
This position will ideally teach French and/or Spanish, and Intro to World Languages for 7th-8th graders. The modern language program at the Brattleboro Area Middle School places a high value on oral proficiency and authentic cultural experiences. Successful applicants will be certified or certifiable in French, (grades 7-12) and/or Spanish (Grades 7-12).
Brattleboro Area Middle School serves about 250 7th and 8th grade students in southern Vermont. Students attend one advisory every morning, take four “core” classes during the day, and three “exploratory” classes every day. Our school uses a teaming model, and students remain on their team for their two years at BAMS.

Teaching Proficiency
Create lesson plans that include inclusionary practices (IEP, 504, co-teaching) and best practices for middle school learners.
