Summary of Position:

The Universal Banker will ensure the customer’s needs are achieved by conducting a thorough financial assessment and recommending the most appropriate products and services that fulfill the customer’s immediate and future financial needs and goals. Under direct supervision, the Universal Banker will maintain and grow existing relationships, build new relationships and will provide a sound operational backbone for the Branch. The Universal Banker will deliver clarity to customers through deep product knowledge and strong communication skills whether at the teller window, lobby or in an office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides friendly, fast and efficient service to customers by processing transactions, opening deposit accounts; interviewing customers to obtain financial information and explain services available; help customers resolve account problems; help customers complete loan applications. Assists with customer concerns/questions. Responds to customer’s requests for information regarding banking services and cross sells as appropriate. Refers non-routine transactions to the Branch Manager as appropriate.
- Generates and maintains profitable customer relationships by expanding on the bank’s products and services thru cross selling. Monitors personal and branch goals.
- Follows up with customers in a timely manner. Able to efficiently assist the customer in wire transfers, fund transfers and other maintenance as requested
- Has experience with both teller transaction processing and customer service experience.
- Works with the rest of the Retail banking team using good communication and a positive attitude to maintain a team atmosphere.
- Maintains a neat and professional work area and maintains customer confidentiality.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
- Skilled in optimizing profitable relationship opportunities with existing and walk-in customers.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to derive innovative solutions.
- Demonstrates ability to build relationships, collaborate and support teamwork
- Careful attention to detail and organization
- Entrepreneurial, ownership-oriented mindset
- High School education/equivalent or higher
- Minimum of 2 years of retail banking experience
- A successful balancing track record
- Proficient with Microsoft applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent math skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
