BUHS CLASS ADVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION (THIS IS A STIPEND POSITION) Freshman Year Schedule and attend the House Meeting to introduce yourself Recruit members for Class Council Host a bi-monthly meeting Fundraise Sophomore Year All of Freshman Year duties Girl’s basketball games – concessions Junior Year Host a monthly meeting Fundraise Boy’s basketball games – concessions Plan homecoming oEmail Senior class for nominations (two people per club or sport) oCollect photos and write up from each nominee oPurchase flowers for each nominee oAnnounce the homecoming court during the homecoming football game Host Prom oComplete the Activity Request Form oFind venue (approximately 300 attendees) oHire DJ oHire Police Officers (Windham County Sheriff’s Office: Lisa Record) oHire photographer oCreate a prom guest registration form Senior Year Schedule and attend House Meetings (Start of year, Cap/Gown ordering, Graduation) Design and order Senior Shirts Baccalaureate oWelcome Speaker oStaff Speaker chosen by the Class Council oMusical Performance (Chorus/Madrigals) oPurchase refreshments (cake, fruit, drinks, paper goods) oDesign a program Graduation oSelection of Class Marshals oOrder and pay for a tux @ Vermont Artisans (Greg Worden) and pay for Class Marshall (up to $75.00) for white dress oOrganize Graduation duties Salute to the Flag at both Senior Awards Night and Graduation (1 person) Welcome speech and class speaker (1 each) (speeches are turned in to Administrative Assistant to Principal for selection process Read names during Underclassmen awards (4 – 5 people) Tassel people (2) oAttend marching practices oRecite names during graduation
