Social Studies – Long Term Substitute Teacher

Brattleboro Union High School is seeking a long-term substitute social studies teacher for a period of 8 – 12 weeks. Brattleboro Union High School is a comprehensive high school located in southeastern Vermont. We seek applicants with strong content knowledge, enthusiasm, a broad range of instructional strategies, and the ability to work with a heterogeneous student population. Successful candidates must be conversant with strategies to implement a proficiency based classroom philosophy and current best practices.
Successful candidates will be able to discuss their expertise and experience working with students from historically marginalized demographic groups. Applicants must hold or be eligible to obtain a Vermont teaching license. Brattleboro area schools and communities have a long tradition of valuing excellence in education.
